More specifically, these studies suggest that there are those who suffer from seasonal depression during the winter months. It is colder, generally drearier, and the weather begs for us to stay indoors—potentially isolated from those around us.

If we follow this same logic, should not spring be the moment when our health—mental and otherwise—be at its seasonal peak? After all, spring is the season in which life begins anew. The earth is blossoming all around us and as the days grow longer, we see more of the sunshine.   Read more of my thoughts on spring, home, school, and family in this month’s contribution to Home Educating Family’s blog.
